This is the first oil change for our ’25 Wrangler at 3,424 miles. According to the computer we still had “38%” oil life yet – whatever that means for our Jeep. However, we wanted to go ahead and get an earlier oil change done since a lot of the hours on the engine were from off-roading and we’re not certain if/how the computer takes this into account. We also wanted to get into a pattern where we’re doing oil changes in warmer weather. And we wanted to inspect the oil for any issues. Overall, it’s an easy vehicle to change the oil. We figure that since this is a new vehicle (under warranty) and we’re doing our own oil changes; a video would be a simple way to document things. There’s even a screen shot of the receipt for the oil and filter at the end. The old oil tasted OK, so all is well.
